While what I’m about to say doesn’t exactly require a spoiler alert, if you haven’t seen Sex and the City and you want to go into it “pure,” then by all means stop reading here.
I loved this movie. Now, honestly, I expected to love this movie. My hair stylist called it a fashion show, and it was, so that was fantastic. And I enjoyed, and still enjoy, the heck out of the TV version.
But what I didn’t expect was to have a spiritual experience with this particular movie. I thought perhaps there would be a light lesson somewhere in the plot. But the theme of forgiveness was so well drawn in all its nuance, the level of self-awareness ran deep, and well, ultimately it was about love in all its facets.
Glitzy and thought-provoking.
Bravo.
