Watched a bit of a PBS show on Italian-Americans last night. How wonderful to be reminded of simpler times and what our ancestors went through to give us a chance at a “better” life when they emigrated to America. We have much to be proud of as a people — hard work, creativity, culture.
And, oh, the fabulous food we grew up with and how that made us different from our neighbors. Thanksgiving without an Italian course? Unheard of.
