One of the fun things I left off in my account of my recent California trip was visiting Gene Arnold’s Vitamin Barn. Gene, known as “Vitamin Gene” or “Vitamin Guru to the Stars” is much more down-to-earth than either of those monikers might indicate. I so enjoyed interviewing him for a Game Plan column and learning about his business in Malibu. I even got to gawk at Fran Drescher for a micro second while there (I’m a big fan, so this took restraint!).
