I had already been profoundly disturbed by the story of the crash on the Taconic Parkway last week that left a mother, her 2-year-old daughter and three young nieces dead. She was driving the wrong way and the three men in the other car were also killed in the head-on collision.
But now I see that she was drunk on vodka and had high levels of marijuana in her system. My God. She killed her brother’s three daughters, ages 5, 7 and 9. I can’t fathom it. Not at all.
