Went to see Diana: A Celebration at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia today. It was so enjoyable, especially to see it with my friend Ceil. We loved seeing the gowns and tiaras, but there were also poignant aspects of the exhibit.

Of course the beauty of the clothes is the progression. Let’s face it. It took years for Diana to actually get fashion taste. With maturity came the ability to wear the clothes instead of the clothes wearing her. And, frankly, my peeps from the Mother Land did her a world of good. Hello, Valentino. Hello, Versace. With the help of their impeccable vision, the woman grew into her glamour.

As for her good works, it seems she had only just begun. What a reminder of our loss.
