Spent a long weekend in Las Vegas and enjoyed it immensely. Picked up a few Game Plan columns at the PokerStars.net North American Poker Tour at the Venetian, both of which will go live this week. Stay tuned for those.
Also did some eating that had Food Network written all over it. Mario Batali’s Enoteca. Wolfgang Puck’s Postria. Lagasse’s Stadium (Emeril’s pulled pork sandwich and some Canada-USA hockey, perfect together). Even Hash House, courtesy of friends Justin and Bobbi, sounded familiar and my research jarred my memory — a Rachael Ray fave in Vegas.
Shocking to no one who knows me well, I didn’t gamble. No desire whatsoever. My addictive urges were more sparked by the inordinate amount of gorgeous shopping options in the city of flash and flaunt. Over-stimmed doesn’t begin to cover it.
What a world.
I also don’t like to gamble, even if I’m good at a couple of games! Just doesn’t do it for me.
The last, and only, time I’d been in Vegas, I loved taking long walks in the city, soaking in all the lights. Reminded me of Times Square on crack.
Love that description!
