So call me a nut, but I couldn’t resist accepting an invite to see Sex and the City 2 at the stroke of midnight on its opening day. And, well, you know that means a Game Plan column naturally follows.
There’s so much more than glitz to this franchise. Credit Michael Patrick King for his consistent dedication to depth. Here we have part commentary on the brand, part review: The Real Appeal of ‘Sex and the City.’
Hmmm…left a comment on your column, but it hasn’t turned up. Maybe it takes a minute or two? Here’s what I wrote:
“I’ve often marvelled at the wisdom of that show, while deliriously coveting the fashions, and yes, shoes. I have to say, the show made me aware of the joy of decorating ourselves much more than I had before it came along. While the characters are all glamourous, they’re also everday city gals, who have a delicious way of celebrating just being alive and enjoying, well, sex and the city.”
I so agree!
