I feel so blessed the past few weeks to have a gym buddy who is essentially overseeing a new weight training program for me. He is challenging my muscles, my stamina and, frankly, my resistance to change. I have released myself to his knowledge and decided to trust.

My body feels sweaty and exhausted at the end of workouts like it hasn’t in a while. I was in a stagnant place and he has helped blast me out of it with his tireless insistence that I eke out another rep and another.

What a metaphor for the kind of coaching I do and a reminder to keep holding my clients feet to the fire. We’ll all be better for it.
