Just saw a rerun of one of the most beautifully played scenes I’ve seen in television. It was in the last episode of Sex and the City after Miranda has helped care for her ill mother-in-law. She is sitting in a room alone when the nanny, Magda, walks in.

“What you did, that was love,” Magda says. “You love.”

Miranda’s response is non-verbal, just realization dawning on her face, followed by tears.

So good.
