I enjoy Facebook. I’m quite active on it. Much has been made possible by it. So for the most part, hats off to its CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, for his amazing innovation. But, whoa, the young man could bring something more to the table when it comes to listening.
Today’s Game Plan: Life Coaching Mark Zuckerberg
Nicely written. Its amazing how in just a few days my social group went from planning our October 8 get together on Facebook back to email. Nobody can be sure that posts are showing up anyplace other then the Ticker which scrolls off so fast that its unusable for most of us who log in the morning and the evening.
Personally I really appreciate the automated lists even though I understand their real purpose is to gather data about the worlds relationships. I understand that to get something I have to give something so a little data about my world is ok.
I also like the Timeline and find that view much more interesting and it enagaged me enough to add some earlier photos so that the picture about Cam Smith is more complete.
However, once the communication becomes unreliable or to complicated for most to use then Facebook has destroyed its foundation and adding more stories (i.e. new features) will only hasten the buildings collapse. Hope someone at Facebook listens!
Thank you for chiming in, Cam! I appreciate the thoughtful feedback. And I hope you’re right about someone listening 🙂
