I love connecting to other writers and I adore connecting to kindred spirits, so combining the two experiences is really special. What a pleasure it was to speak with writer/director Charles Evered on life, death and his play, Ten, about a 9/11 widow (premiering tomorrow, Sept. 10, at The Arts Council of Princeton).

I was particularly struck by his combination of Yale Drama and service to country and how that has made him the person and artist he is. Big shoutout to my friend Kevin, who had the smarts to bring us together.
