I spent last week in Rancho Mirage, Calif. at a golf and spa resort. What a blessing and rejuvenating getaway. Part of the reason I went was because I thought it would be fun to turn 50 there, in a complete change of environment.
As I shored up my plans for the week, my friend Lisa suggested the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway as a possibility and she unwittingly tapped into my fear of heights. Suddenly it became my mission to stare down the fear on my birthday. Not only was that amazing, but another occurrence on the trip wound up challenging me even more.
