Last Sunday, eager to be going to the orthopedist for my knee sprain the following day, I let the television hold me captive for much of the afternoon into the evening. And my program choices kept captivating me, one after another. Simultaneously, there was a fire happening in my neighborhood and I sat helplessly listening to sirens and watching ambulances try to drive through traffic on my street.
So here we have a potpourri of Jeremy Lin, the placebo effect on 60 Minutes, Oprah Winfrey interviewing Tony Robbins on Oprah’s Next Chapter, a fire and how it all landed on me.
