Extending ourselves

I spent much of last weekend feeling numb and raw after hearing about the death of someone I loved very much. I learned a little something about grief and how good it feels when others reach out, even in the smallest ways.

One day at a time sweetie! I’ve been where you are, grieving the loss of somebody profoundly dear. It was the hardest hole I ever had to climb out of it, but it happens one day at a time. Think of yourself like the mule in the well, with the people above shoveling dirt down onto him. He shakes it off and steps up, until one day he just walks out of the hole.
