Last weekend I happily attended a TEDxHoboken Women event which was part of the global TEDxWomen taking place in Washington, D.C. We had the privilege of hearing talks streamed in from the nation’s capital and also some in-house. Right in my own town — so luxurious!

I didn’t go with the intent of writing a column about it, but life tends to hand me ideas by virtue of what I expose myself to. This was a day chock full of inspiring people and ideas.

Nancy Levin capped our full day and it was her talk that ultimately pushed my inspiration buttons to the point where I had to write about it that very night. (A rockin’ Saturday night, huh?). She tells a very human story, but it was the part writing played in it that put a lump in my throat. There is bravery in revelation.
