Heeding the need to express

by Nancy Colasurdo on February 15, 2013

When a despicable hacker made his or her way into the email accounts of George W. Bush and family, I cringed.  However, I can’t say the same for my reaction when I saw the former President’s paintings that were exposed in the process. So captivating. I’ve enjoyed reading the opinions of a few art critics since, especially Jerry Saltz in New York magazine.

Looking at them through the lens of a life coach, though, is a whole different matter.

I respect anyone who can work with oil based paints or water colors for that matter. President Bush’s portrait of Barney Bush is rather good. He put a lot of effort in to the depicting his furry friend, companion and greeter of royalty. Hey and if this is the hobby he took up, kudos to him.

W might not have been introspective at the White House, he’s certainly is entitled to express himself in which ever hobby he chooses. Go forth and paint W! Go!
