Last weekend I received an email from a friend telling me author Erica Kennedy had died. What? What? What?
My relationship with Erica, age 42, was professional with a plus. Hers is the first testimonial on this website (from about 2004), written when her first novel, Bling, was on its way to becoming a New York Times bestseller. We stayed in touch and I enjoyed seeing her progress to write a second novel, Feminista.
This all worked on my mind for much of the weekend and the days since hearing of her death. Reading the responses on Twitter, where she had few peers in using the medium so masterfully, it started to sink in — I owe her a testimonial.
