Happily dug into chapters 7 and 8 in Martha Beck’s Steering by Starlight while on a train ride today. In the beginning of chapter 8, she quotes the poet Mary Oliver — “All my life I was a bride married to amazement.”

At the end of the chapter, she ties it up nicely with this:

… I do know that once you join up with your true self, even in tiny, seemingly insignificant ways, you will live the rest of your days married to amazement. The stars will burn themselves out to light your path.

All I can say is, Ahhhhhhhh …
