It is a bit surreal that I am writing this just two blocks from the very Hudson River where a flight miracle occurred today. I cannot imagine the depths of fear on that plane. I cannot imagine being so schooled, so steady, so expert in my craft that I land an enormous aircraft on a river that is not particularly wide.
What a moment in time for us to be reminded of heroism and of the goodness of people. It puts so much in perspective.
The ripple effects of this in people’s lives will be fascinating.
