Cannot wait to see the Rooms with a View: The Open Window in the 19th Century exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in a few weeks. Perhaps it will give another layer of meaning to this favorite photo of mine (below) taken by a friend in Ireland. One quote from the text gets the conversation going: Juxtaposing near and far, the window is a metaphor for unfulfilled longing.
