Way back in the day when I was a sports writer, I belonged to the Association for Women in Sports Media. The annual conference was wonderfully enriching every year and one of the best parts was the crew I got to hang with. A fashion spread in New York magazine last week got me thinking of the first conference I attended in San Francisco and the role fashion played in how some of us connected.
