As life brings us through experiences, we (hopefully) accumulate wisdom along the way. Maybe even some grace. I’d like to think that has been the case for me as I strive to understand and extract lessons from the happiest and the saddest events and everything in between.
Like much of the nation and the world, I have been processing this horrible shooting in Newtown, Connecticut and wondering what I can do. Well, what I can do is teach and impart, so here we go.

Thank you for article about greiving parents and familys. As a mother that lost a child 20 years ago, I know you don’t heal and you are never OK again. You go on, but as a different person. Even now seeing my beautiful grandchildren, my joy is tampered by the wish that they could meet and know their Aunt Sarah.
